Psych: T.V Show Review.

In our day and age, it seems mystery shows all all the rage. There are numerous CSI's, or NCIS, or Law and Order. After watching a marathon of any of these shows, they tend to get very similar and unoriginal. They get sent to investigate a murder, they check it out, they gather up clues, something non-related to the investigation happens to the crew members and somehow helps the investigation, then finally, they catch the bad guy in a show down. That is why when I'm in a mystery show kind of mood, i watch Psych.

Psych is all about this "psychic" who claims he can see the future. In reality, Shawn, the psychic, Shawn is a lovable and remember able character who is always willing to get himself into crazy situations with his less than willing friend, Gus. Gus, on the other hand, would rather stay locked up in a closet and read books and stay safe. Two unlikely friends form bonds and attempt to solve mysteries baffling the police unit at Santa Barbara. Speaking of the Policemen at Santa Barbara, there is always a policeman that gets on Shawn and Gus' nerves. He is detective Lautner. He is always trying to undermine Shawn and Gus for there ridiculous actions during cases, yet without them numerous cases would be unsolved.
Psych resembles a show like a sitcom except it has no terrible jokes and fake laughter in the background. It is full of mysteries and is drenched in comedy. It also has a slight hint of romance in it. Shawn and Gus are always trying to woo there costumers and sometimes even the criminals. It pleases all genre lovers!
Psych has just ended its 6th successful season and is going on to make a 7th. You can watch re-runs of Psych on USA or Ion. Although, those are only re-runs. And we all know EVERYONE hates re-runes. They usually have a TV season anytime between the Fall to Summer of a year. Just remember, to tune into USA for newer episodes of Psych during Fall or Summer. So next time you are in the mystery type of mood, go to USA Network channel or website and start watching Psych!

Legend Of Korra Review

Avatar: The Last Air-bender was a great hit show that Nickelodeon aired during 2006-2007. It was about a young boy, Ang, being the avatar, or a person who can control all four elements: fire, water, air, and earth. He is also the last air bender and has been asleep for over 100 years. The Fire Benders have taken control of the world and Ang must stop them. In the show finale, he succeeds in dethroning the Fire Benders and is successful in bringing a new era of peace to the Bending world. The Legend of Korra takes place after Ang dies.

The Legend of Korra takes place almost 50-60 years after  Avatar: The Last Air-bender. It has become very modern, with great improvement in the technology field. There are late 1800's cars and modernized parks and houses. The main  place, where the Legend of Korra takes place, is Republic City and looks very similar to a New York and San Francisco mix.

So far in the Season the next Avatar, Korra, goes to the modern city, Republic City, to learn how to air bend because she knows how to bend water, air, and fire. At Republic City she meets a surprise; there is a group against bending, element bending is used in sports, and gangs rule the ghettos of the Republic City.

When I first saw the first episode, I was disappointed it had such modern devices in it. I would rather of had it like they did in  Avatar: The Last Air Bender. And they did not say what happened between Ang or Katara or her brother. I assume they might reveal what happens between them as the series develops, although a story up hand would of been very nice. In the first five minutes they do reveal that they know what happens to Zuku's mother but they do not reveal it.....yet.

I can see why they put the Legend of Korra in moderns times. They want to end the series for good. A war between Benders and Non-Benders. With the end of this series no other sequels will be made and it finally be put to a rest. In this times, there is no need for bending; technology is catching up the skills of Benders. Rendering there gifts useless and unwanted. I can not wait to see the series progress and hope it is even greater then Avatar: The Last Air bender!
